About me
I have been working as a counsellor since 2004, having graduated from Wealden College in Crowborough with a Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling.
The majority of my work is in primary care, within a large GP's practice, and I also work as an independant counsellor in Reigate/Redhill, Surrey.
I am a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psycotherapy) and work in accordance with their Ethical Framework for Good Practice which includes following its rules relating to confidentiality.
I ensure ongoing professional development by attending courses and workshops on a regular basis, and I am currently working towards BACP-accreditation.
I receive regular and ongoing clinical supervision.
My approach is integrative, combining different theories and models, which I aim to tailor to suit my clients and their needs.
My background is mainly in commercial environments with particular interest in Human Resources. I also have experience of working in the voluntary sector.
I was introduced to counselling several years ago as a client and experienced for myself how effective and supportive counselling can be. It was a space for me to be heard and where I was able to be honest without being judged or criticised.
